Montana Solitaire
Montana Solitaire is the classic name for the Gaps game. All 52 cards are dealt in a 4×13 grid, then the four Aces are removed to create gaps. You slide cards into gaps: a card can move into a gap if it's one rank higher and the same suit as the card to the left of the gap. The goal is to arrange four complete suited runs from 2 to King across the rows.
What’s Different from Gaps Solitaire
Classic Gaps — slide cards into position to build four suited runs from 2 to King.

Montana Tips
Focus on extending sequences from the leftmost positions first. A gap at the start of a row (after position 1) can only be filled by a 2. Plan which gaps to fill based on which suits are closest to completion. Before using a redeal, lock in as many correctly-placed cards as possible.

Montana — Quick FAQ
How is Montana different from Gaps Solitaire?
Classic Gaps — slide cards into position to build four suited runs from 2 to King.
How many redeals do you get in Montana?
Montana typically allows two redeals. During a redeal, all incorrectly-placed cards are gathered and redistributed randomly into the empty spaces. Correctly-placed cards (part of a sequence starting with a 2 on the left) stay in place.
